Today was our first Sunday of official sabbatical which meant we did not make a long drive this morning.  Instead, we drove across town to Zion Lutheran Church to attend the worship service there.  Zion held their first service in a storefront on Muldoon Road on November 3, 1963.  The dedication of their church was on March 14, 1965.

  The current pastor at Zion is Brandt Hoffman who is, within a few months, the youngest pastor in the Alaska Circuit.

Zion is the home congregation of Derald and Luana.
